This little place stomps all over other Spanish restaurants in Oxford. For a start, it is genuinely Spanish, not some plastic imitation. There is no nonsense with the decor: you're not overwhelmed with fake olive oil jugs and matador paraphernalia or any of that garbage. Just good simple eating.



The food is great. Last night we picked a few favourites from the menu: I particularly enjoyed the chorizo and chicken. Even the simple marinated olives were a cut above the standard. The prices are very reasonable given the quality of what you get and unlike some places they don't use the word "tapas" as an excuse to be stingy with the amount they put on the plate.
